Summer School Dates:

  • Credit Recovery: June 22 to July 24, 2026
  • ESY: June 22 - July 17, 2026
  • Olympic Summer School: Monday, June 22 to Friday, July 24, 2026

No Summer School: Friday, July 3, 2026 - 4th of July Holiday

Daily Schedule:

Period 1: 8:30AM - 10:30AM
Nutrition: 10:30AM - 10:40AM
Period 2: 10:45AM - 12:45PM

We are pleased to offer in-person opportunities for students this summer. Summer School at Samohi will be held in the Innovation Building on the Samohi campus. We will offer breakfast and lunch daily to students. Summer at Samohi includes the following programs:

  • Accelerated Geometry
    Accelerated Geometry is for students who wish to accelerate in the math pathway of their choice. Students with grades of an A or B in Algebra P will be considered for this course.  Students who take Accelerated Geometry will still be enrolled in a math class for the following year. Invites and applications will come from the Education Services Department of SMMUSD the last week of February. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 24, 2026.
     
  • Accelerated World History
    Students will journey through the major civilizations, cultures, and historical milestones that have shaped our interconnected world. This course provides a solid foundation for understanding historical patterns and the global impact of significant events. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 24, 2026.

  • Accelerated US History ACES
    This summer offering is designed for students who wish to deepen their understanding of the people, events, and movements that shaped the United States. Through interactive lessons and projects, students will build critical thinking and analytical skills while exploring key historical themes. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 24, 2026.

  • Accelerated Art
    Unlock your creativity this summer with Accelerated Art! This fast-paced course is designed for students looking to develop their artistic skills and explore various techniques in drawing, painting, and design. Perfect for those passionate about visual arts, this course provides a strong foundation for future artistic endeavors. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 24, 2026.

  • Extended School Year (June 22-July 17, 2026) program for students whose IEP determines that extra time is needed to meet individual goals. This program will run for 4 weeks.
     
  • Olympic High School offerings will also be held at Samohi. These include the Off-Campus Learning Center and Olympic High School classes.
